Direct selling in your home-based business is founded on a simple concept and
used by representatives from Avon to the students of Zig Ziglar, nothing sells a product
or service better than word of mouth. How many times have you read a great book or
saw a fantastic movie and posted a tweet on Twitter or wrote a message on Facebook
wall. Now imagine getting paid by the book publisher or movie producer for your
exuberance. Sign me up, right? Well that's essentially the core of direct selling,
multilevel marketing (MLM)
So instead of employing and maintaining an expensive sales division, companies like
Arbonne, Melaleuca, SendOutCards, Xango et al generously compensate people like
you and I who use, love and heartily recommend these products. What a concept!
The people who recommend a service or product are known as distributors,
associates, or independent business owners and we typically relate our product
experiences with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers at in-home parties, lunches,
business- networking events or during the course of everyday, normal conversations.
We might share how the product or service is helping improve or enhance or lives. And
here's a key, passion. You don't need to have a sales background to create an income
if the product or service is something you believe in and are passionate about.
Today with the constant barrage of media message, it can be overwhelming and easy
for people to just tune out. And that's where you and I cam make a difference, because
our friends and families who are open to a change will welcome our recommendations
to help solve a problem or issue that they are dealing with. Word of mouth, direct
selling, multilevel marketing is still the best way to do this.
