Avoiding and Reducing stomach trouble

One of the stomach trouble are the problems with gas. (flatulence) These may be caused by certain foods, swallowing too much air and certain medical problems. These medical problems include intestinal surgery, irritable bowel syndrome (a problem that affects the bowel) and lactose intolerance. This lactose intolerance is a condition that prevents your body can digest the sugar (lactose) contained in milk.
Making changes in your diet can help reduce gas, inflation and discomfort or pain. Gas-forming foods, commonly cause gas in many people. Avoid gas-producing foods can help lower gas. Some changes in eating habits and physical activity also can help prevent or reduce gas problems.
What guidelines (standards) related to diet should I follow?
Not all foods that commonly cause gas, affect the way all people. Try to avoid all foods that produce gas for a few weeks until you get better. Then, try again adding these foods to your diet but one at a time. Continue adding daily and these foods one by one, until you find foods that are causing problems.
Avoid foods that produce only gases, which you know are causing problems. This will give you a greater variety of foods to choose and in this way, you can follow a balanced diet. You can better control the small portions that large portions of these foods.
What gas-producing foods should not eat or drink?
Pulses:
* Cooked beans with pork and beans (canned).
* Dried beans such as kidney, pinto, garbanzo, lima and navy.
* Split peas, like dried peas and lentils.
Vegetables:
* Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower.
* Cucumbers and green peppers.
* Onions, leeks and chives.
* Pickles and sauerkraut.
* Radishes, rutabagas and turnips.
Fruits:
* Apples and bananas.
* Prunes and raisins.
* Melons.
Breads and Starches:
* Bread fried donuts, pastries.
* Large amounts of wheat products.
Meat and other protein sources:
* Eggs.
* Meat, fish or poultry that have been fried or made with fillings and sauces.
Drinks:
* Beer, ale and other beverages containing alcohol.
* Carbonated beverages like sparkling water or soda.
Artificial sweeteners:
* Mannitol and sorbitol are sugar alcohols that are added to food and sweets and sugar-free gum.
Dairy products: Check with your doctor if you have lactose intolerance and need to avoid dairy products.

Risks: The risks of not making changes in your diet are gases, stomach bloating and discomfort or pain in the stomach that constantly occur after eating. These symptoms can make you have to avoid eating different foods. Over time, you may eat fewer calories and nutrients you need. Not eating enough can cause you to lose an amount of weight that is not suitable for your health.
